We docked at the Rome port at 5 AM and went to the Rome airport hotel to drop our bags before spending a final day in Rome.  It was rainy so it wasn’t too pleasant for walking around.  We visited the Trevi Fountain briefly before heading to Alfredo’s for lunch. In 1978, we had dinner here and sampled the Fettuccini that originated here.  In 1927, Douglas Fairbanks and Mary Pickford visited the restaurant and so liked the fettuccini that they sent a set of golden flatware to the restaurant. We have eaten with it both in 1978 and 2018.
