The high tech bridge of the whale boat catamaran we took to see the whales.  We expected this excursion to be one of the highlights of the trip for us and the 200 or so passengers.

Unfortunately, we saw seals and lots of birds but no whales, despite going to three spots about 25 miles off land; additionally about 15% of the passengers got seasick.

The boat staff made audio contact with the resident of this lighthouse who provided a 10 minute talk about life as a lighthouse keeper. It seems like a lonely existence.

Back on land, we visited a few souvenir shops before walking through this park to take a tender back to the ship.
